Votorantim faced the challenge of migrating its complex SAP ECC system to SAP S/4HANA, requiring the management of large data volumes, minimizing downtime, and mitigating risks of incompatibility.
With over 500 users involved in testing and the need to convert custom Z programs, ensuring a seamless transition without disrupting operations was a major priority.
Solution
Votorantim executed the largest SAP S/4HANA migration in LATAM, leveraging intelligent migration technology with SAP to ensure a seamless transition. Supported by 150 consultants, the project included over 50,000 tested steps, achieving an impressive 97% automated conversion rate of custom Z programs. The solution improved conversion processing speeds (4–5 times faster in the project phase), reduced downtime, and established a scalable, up– to–date system.
Outcome
The migration enhanced operational efficiency, reduced project costs, and minimized downtime. Conversion processing speeds increased by 4–5 times, while automated custom Z program conversion reached 97%. The project’s Net Promoter Score (NPS) at Go–Live reached 9.7/10, demonstrating high user satisfaction. Votorantim now operates a scalable, future–ready system, ensuring continuous updates and long–term digital transformation benefits.
