SAP AppHaus Palo Alto Reopening
The customer-facing SAP AppHaus Palo Alto will celebrate the Grand Reopening of their newly designed creative space on September 24, 2024. The space includes a dedicated Design Thinking workshop area, a garage breakout space which can be used to expand the workshop space, two meeting rooms, a maker space, a pop-up library and a coffee lounge for relaxing. The space is designed to host in-person, virtual or hybrid events.
We are looking forward to welcome you to this evening celebration on the SAP Labs Palo Alto Campus.

Omar Mitchell

As NHL Vice President, Sustainable Infrastructure and Growth Initiatives, Omar Mitchell is part of the Social Impact, Growth and Legislative Affairs (SGL) Department and focuses on embedding environmental sustainability throughout the NHL, growing the sport of hockey and creating vibrant and healthy communities where the game is played.
Mitchell joined the NHL in 2012, serving as the League’s first environmental sustainability director and overseeing the award-winning and globally acclaimed NHL Green initiative. Throughout the past 10 NHL seasons, he has led corporate social responsibility, public affairs and philanthropic initiatives including management of the NHL Foundation, the League’s Legacy Projects and the Stanley Cup – the most cherished and historic trophy in professional sports.
Kulmeet Bawa
Global Chief Revenue Officer, SAP BTP

Kulmeet Bawa is the principal driver of global growth for SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP.) In this role, he sets the go-to-market strategy for the extended SAP BTP field organization and partner ecosystem team.
Previously, Kulmeet served as President and Managing Director for the SAP Indian subcontinent, which enjoyed 12 consecutive quarters of top results across all SAP regional sales teams. He was responsible for delivering an exceptional SAP experience to employees and a strong 14,000+ customer base across India, Bangladesh, and Sri Lanka.
Earlier in his career, Kulmeet served in various leadership roles in major technology companies such as Adobe, Microsoft Corporation, and Sun Microsystems, where he was responsible for shaping growth strategies and customer experiences.
Lisa Kay Solomon

Lisa Kay Solomon is an award winning innovator, best selling author, and celebrated educator who helps leaders and learners build skills to imagine, anticipate and adapt to increasingly complex futures. Currently a Lecturer and the Futurist in Residence at the Stanford d.school, Lisa teaches popular classes like “Inventing the future” and “View from the future,” to help students use strategic foresight, futures and design thinking into every day practices.
Lisa co-authored the bestselling books Moments of Impact: How to Design Strategic Conversations that Accelerate Change, and Design A Better Business: New Tools, Skills, and Mindset and Strategy for Innovation, which has been translated into over a dozen languages. She created the popular LinkedIn learning class, “Leader as Futurist,” and contributed a chapter of the same name for Des Dearlove’s Certain Uncertainty: Leading with Agility and Resilience in an Unpredictable World.
Sam Yen
Chief Innovation Officer, Commercial Banking

Sam Yen is the Chief Innovation Officer for Commercial Banking at JP Morgan Chase & Co. Sam is responsible for digital products, platform, innovation, and product strategy.
Prior to JPMC, Sam was the Managing Director for SAP Silicon Valley and was SAP’s first Chief Design Officer responsible for driving SAP’s Design and User Experience strategy and execution across the company. Sam also led SAP’s Design Thinking practice both internally and for customers. During Sam’s tenure, SAP has been recognized as one of the leading design-centered organizations in the world (DMI design value index) and has won several prestigious design awards.
Sam has taught at the Hasso Plattner Institute for Design at Stanford (the “d.school”) and Stanford’s Graduate School of Business as a Consulting Associate Professor on topics of creative cultures in organizations.

A recognized expert in Design Thinking, Alissa is adept at leading workshops, spearheading enterprise user experience initiatives, and helping clients build their own innovation teams. Luke Nixon

As COO for SAP Labs US, Luke Nixon is responsible for operations involving location strategy, ecosystem engagement, communications, and employee engagement for SAP’s over 4,000 development employees and over 20 offices across the US – SAP’s largest cloud addressable market.
Luke combines a strategic mindset with extensive experience in driving growth topics across multiple lines of business at SAP. He is focused on enabling innovators at SAP who are Building Things That Matter by ensuring they have what they need to get the job done, driving strategic relevance of the work SAP does, and creating a culture where everyone can succeed.
Prior to his current role, Luke led business strategy for SAP New Ventures & Technology, where he focused on identifying emerging markets with strategic relevance to SAP and developing frameworks for execution. He has also served as Head of Center of Excellence for SAP Ariba in China and led Customer Success for the SAP Ariba President’s Office.

Uwe is a Senior Manager and Head of SAP AppHaus Palo Alto.The SAP AppHaus is a physical co-innovation space and a global innovation team that makes innovation real on SAP Business Technology Platform by working collaboratively with customers and putting humans and their experiences first.
Prior, Uwe worked in different roles at SAP; as a consultant, product manager and product expert for small and medium-sized enterprises.
Uwe joined SAP in 2006. Before SAP, he was a consulting manager with Deloitte Consulting where he worked on large SAP implementations at Deutsche Post, Bell Canada, Pacific Gas & Electric, Puget Sound Energy, Hewlett-Packard, Clorox and Cardinal Health.
Sally Lawler Kennedy

Sally has been driving innovation and championing human-centered design with world-leading companies for more than 20 years. As the Senior Director of Innovation and Customer Experience at SAP AppHaus she applies a human-centered innovation approach to transform business data into customer value with SAP Business Technology Platform. She is passionate about crafting delightful customer experiences, and leveraging technology and data to drive innovation.
Sally focuses on leading and teaching teams to create delightful, usable, and useful software for business users. She received two Gold Awards from the International Customer Experience Awards, an international design and innovation competition. Sally is also a co-lead for the SAP Business Women’s Network (BWN) Palo Alto group where she has led several Women in Data Science, WiDS @ SAP events.
